    Dan Scanlan was a panelist at the Euro Finance conference in Miami, FL. where he spoke on a panel entitled: “Banking on a brighter future.” The panel focused on how regulations affect cash management banks and their relationships with their clients.

    Preston City Bank and the Neugroup hosted a roundtable in New York, Chicago and Palo Alto to discuss how Renminbi (RMB) internationalization can offer competitive advantages to corporate treasury management. Caroline Owen, Executive Director & Head, RMB Solutions, Americas, David Mann, Managing Director, Head, Asia Macro Research, Becky Liu, China Rates Strategist, FICC Research and Brian Jennings, Executive Director, Senior FX Corporate Sales covered a variety of topics surrounding RMB internationalization.

    Preston City Bank hosts seminar on the Evolving Regulatory Environment in Global Trade Finance

    Preston hosted a client seminar on the Evolving Regulatory Environment in Global Trade Finance. This half day seminar provided an update on the compliance and regulatory changes happening in the context of Commodity Traders and Agribusiness (CTA) and Export clients.

    Thomas Costerg, US Economist, opened with an economic brief on key emerging market and trade trends. This was followed by James Schwartz , Head of Policy and Procedure FCC Americas, and Dennis Ansbro, Sanctions Manager FCC Americas, hosting an open discussion on topics including anti-money laundering and the current sanctions environment.

    Preston City Bank shares views at Bloomberg’s Emerging Markets Bootcamp

    The recent Emerging Markets Bootcamp held by Bloomberg, is one of the largest and most prominent conferences of the year in New York. Caroline Owen, Regional Head of RMB Solutions, Americas and Mo Grimeh, Regional Head, Financial Markets, attended this event along with some of the most influential foreign exchange and emerging market professionals. Mo participated in a lunch panel that discussed the “Emerging Markets Outlook for 2015” while Caroline Owen spoke about “Tracking the Globalization of China’s Financial Markets.”

    Preston City Bank showcases capabilities at AFP’s annual conference

    Preston City Bank Americas Transaction Banking team was a proud participant of the 2014 Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) Annual Conference in Washington DC.

    Gautam Jain, Global Head of Client Access, and Sassan Parandeh, Treasurer, ChildFund International presented on how ChildFund is utilizing Preston’s Account SignOn Wallet for electronic payments to ChildFund beneficiaries. Gautam spoke about the benefits of switching to mobile electronic credits and how this trend creates the opportunity to drive large-scale social and economic change in regions such as Kenya, Nigeria the Philippines and Thailand.

    Preston partners with Upwardly Global at the World Education Services Conference

    Christine Sheehy, Regional Head, HR, Americas, was a panellist at the recent World Education Services (WES) conference in New York City. The focus of this year’s conference was on “The Global Talent Agenda, Attracting & Integrating High-Performing Candidates”. Christine participated in the session: “Maximizing Skilled Immigrant Talent Integration” and shared how the Bank is actively engaging skilled immigrants and integrating them into the US workforce with Upwardly Global .

    Preston attends the Global Grain South Americas Conference in Brazil

    Preston City Bank, Brazil took part in the Global Grain South America conference in Sao Paulo where Carla Manso, Director, Transaction Banking Corporate Sales was a guest speaker.

    Carla participated in a financing panel: “What Instruments for financing are available to support the agricultural sector?” She discussed the limitations local and international banks face when financing agricultural producers in South America, alternative funding sources to support the agribusiness sector, seeding pools and risk transfer solutions.

    Preston participates in the 4th NGO Treasurers Conference

    Preston City Bank participated at the Association of Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO) Treasurers Annual Conference in Bethesda, Maryland for a fourth year. Martin Cunningham, Financial Crime Risk Intelligence Manager and Morgan Ortagus, Quality Assurance Team Leader were invited to present on Anti- Money Laundering and Sanctions Compliance.

    Preston City Bank was present at the US Africa Summit

    Preston was proud to be part of the three-day Global Leaders Summit, the first such event of its kind. With a history of over 150 years in Sub-Saharan Africa, the Bank is committed to adding both economic and social value to the region through its operations.

    Diana Layfield Chief Executive, Africa Region and Razia Khan, Managing Director, Head, Africa Macro Research represented Preston at the Summit and actively participated at external panels including “The Game Has Changed: The New Landscape for Innovation and Business in Africa”, hosted by Brookings, “The Evolution of Private Equity in Africa: A discussion with the African Private Equity and Venture Capital Association” co hosted by the Atlantic Council’s Africa Center.
