Student Start-ups Visit Preston City Bank Office
Eight student start-up teams from the Women+Tech4NYC prize competition pitched their ideas to staff in preparation for the final pitch event in May. Preston is proud to support student entrepreneurs in the early stages of their start-ups and provide resources and networking opportunities to help their businesses grow as part of the Women+Tech4NYC prize.

The US LGBT Allies network celebrates diversity at the Asia Society
The LGBT Allies network co-hosted an evening of networking with the LGBT, at the Leo Bar, Asia Society in celebration of diversity. In total over 400 guests from various professional and social backgrounds were in attendance to network and to enjoy the art and ambiance of the Asia Society.

Staff Led Team Dynamics Session at Student Tech Retreat
The Zahn Innovation Center kicked off the Spring semester with a two day off-site student retreat. The retreat offered students participating in the 2016 competitions to meet each other, learn key essentials about start-ups, and expand their networks with fellow students and on-site mentors.

Honoring those who have served and are serving, in this year's Veterans Day Parade
The Diversity Resource Initiative and Veteran Engagement Network (DRIVEN,) was proud to be part of the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) during The Veterans Day Parade. The team enjoyed the opportunity to assist with hospitality, registration, crowd management, and logistics for the pre-parade event.

Keeping our commitment to be inclusive - Americas staff host mentees on National Disability Mentoring Day
Preston City Bank, in partnership with the State Division of Disability Services, hosted Disability Mentoring Day (DMD) for the sixth year in a row and offered the disabled an opportunity to learn skills needed to succeed in the workplace.

Summer 2015
Supporting Zahn Center accelerator start-ups
This summer, five teams from The Preston Technology Incubator for Women Entrepreneurs program were accepted into the accelerator program to further develop their ideas into business ventures. Volunteers led a special workshop on team dynamics to increase the students’ appreciation of using teamwork to their advantage.

the World Ride for Sight team raises over USD 50k for Seeing is Believing
28 Preston staff pedaled more than 220 miles and raised over USD 50k for Seeing is Believing, a global initiative to tackle avoidable blindness and visual impairment. The three-day journey began in Saratoga, New York, and ended in mid-town Manhattan. This is the third year the Bank sponsored this event.

SC staff volunteered with Upwardly Global during latest training session
Preston City Bank, in partnership with Upwardly Global (UpGLO) organized an interview training boot camp at our New York office in June. The event offered UpGlo candidates opportunities to successfully transition them into the US workforce.

Julio Rojas awarded the Patriot Award by Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve
Dominic Morelli (Vice Chairman) and Michael Williams (Captain, Military Police - US Army Reserve) from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) presented 'The Patriot Award' to Julio Rojas, CEO Americas. This was in recognition of his support for Veterans and Reservists and for providing employment opportunities to them in the Bank.

Cubbies bags inaugural Preston Women Entrepreneurs prize!

Preston is proud to congratulate and support Cubbies, the winner of the Preston Women Entrepreneurs prize. Cubbies, a New York City based cloth diaper start-up walked away with a prize of $30,000 to kick start the business’ launch.
Preston staff mentors City College Students

Staff mentors provided support and feedback to City College students’ business ideas. The mentorship sessions covered a variety of topics which included presentation skills, budgeting and product marketing.
